Ai You HeKang Rehab Center—Rehabilitation Program for Disabled Children

In June 2012, Ai You Foundation and Tencent Charity Foundation set up “Ai You HeKang Rehab Center” to provide professional rehabilitation services for disabled children and their families.

“Ai You HeKang Rehab Center” aims at helping physically and mentally-challenged children. In recent years, the project focuses on setting up professional rehabs for children with autism, importing technologies and supporting researches in this regard so as to ease the pressure autism brings to many families. By the end of 2017, we have built four rehabs, funded two provincial rehabs and held more than 30 rehabilitation trainings working with disabled people’s federation of 15 provinces. We imported advanced technologies by inviting foreign experts to give lectures. We supported two academic groups, namely Shenzhen Maternity & Child Healthcare Hospital and Beijing Normal University (national laboratory of cognitive neuroscience and learning), to conduct research in the screening of children autism and assessment of brain development of children with autism. These projects can help identify and intervene the disease as early as possible. These projects can also step up cooperation in the development of new technologies for autism rehabilitation and diagnosis. We adopt a comprehensive approach to help disabled children. We call for attention and support from all walks of life for them and their family to help them embrace a brilliant future.
